For the second time, HHL students organized an event based on the internationally known and popular event format TEDx. Following the motto “Beyond the Ordinary”, the participants were able to listen to inspiring talks at WERK 2 – Kulturfabrik Leipzig on October 14, 2016. Ten speakers from Germany, Sweden and the U.S. took the stage to present exciting topics, ideas and experiences which are worth sharing with others. Among them were a brain researcher, a rally co-pilot, a motivation coach and an H&M manager who had to look for the silver lining in a neurological condition.
The music at the event was provided by the well-known musician Graham Candy (“She Moves”) and Jan Jakob.
HHL alumna Anastasia Romanova excitedly shared her thoughts following the event, “As a young entrepreneur myself, I was very inspired by the presentation of Maxi Knust, editor of the Fempreneur online magazine which targets female founders, TEDxHHL was organized in an outstanding manner. The event also left enough room and time to network. It was worth coming all the way from Heidelberg!”
Moreover, the team of students which organized the event was praised for the broad selection of speakers, the atmosphere in the venue, which was created by the stage setting and lighting, as well as the consistently professional execution of the program. The HHLers have agreed to continue organizing the event to provide another TEDxHHL event which brings together different people in 2017 as well, allowing for an innovative and inspiring exchange of views.
