Lifelong Learning at HHL

Alumni brush up their knowledge in MBA and M.Sc. courses

HHL’s alumni network is growing and last year, we celebrated the start of the very first diploma class at HHL. Since it is a while ago for some of our HHL alumni that they have been on campus while others seek to brush up their knowledge for new professional challenge HHL invites alumni to take part in a lecture of the current MBA or M.Sc. program.

During one entire weekend alumni have the chance to get latest insights from research, discuss practical examples with the professors and network with current students on campus as Verena Freyer (P5), Head of Brand Marketing and Customer Communication at comdirect Bank, did.

Recognizing that businesses are changing rapidly when being disrupted by technological progress she decided to come back to HHL in order to get fresh insights: “The opportunity for Lifelong Learning given by HHL after earning my MBA in 2011 is great. I heard a lecture by Professor Erik Maier about Multi-Channel Management at the Hamburg Chapter Event last year where I seized that the world of business keeps changing, and so we have to. The guest lecture was so interesting that I attended the E-Business course of Erik during the current part-time study program in January. There my expectations were fully met. I could update and complete my knowledge for example of online marketing budget attribution. And apart from this it was really fun to work with current students and enjoy Campus atmosphere again.“
