HHL Alumnus Marc Schumacher from LIGANOVA and Markus Recher from LBBW discuss Leipzig Leadership Model
After HHL has ignited the discussion of how leadership can succeed in times of permanent change and digitalization we are continuing the open dialogue with alumni and guests in the context of our HHL Alumni Chapter Meetings with HHL’s Executive Management. Our Dean Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart discusses questions of leadership challenges today and in the future with panelists as he did in Stuttgart.
In Stuttgart, the panel discussion was kindly hosted by the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg where we welcomed over 20 guests who joined the introduction of the Leipzig Leadership Model. In accordance with the model, Prof. Pinkwart led through the following panel discussion to which we welcomed HHL Alumnus Dr. Marc Schumacher, Managing Partner at LIGANOVA, and Markus Recher, Head of Human Resources at LBBW. In the course of the discussion, the question arose how leaders can encourage employees while conveying that everyone counts in the success of a corporation, especially in those times when the identity of a sector is questioned.
Marc Schumacher shared how LIGANOVA as a smaller corporation is getting everyone hocked. A very target-oriented communication is essential when living vision and mission proactively. The entrepreneurial spirit in the company allows everyone to be part of the success but also makes everyone part of failures. The founder of the company acts as a role model that embodies this participatory and entrepreneurial approach.
