HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management was ranked among the top 50 leading business schools of the world in a widely publicized article by the Mexican EXPANSIÓN news journal. The proportion of southern and central American students in HHL’s current full-time MBA program is 25% with participants from eight different countries. This makes the Master in General Management from HHL one of the most sought-after MBA degrees between the Caribbean and Cape Horn and the most popular one from Germany.
MBA Alliance Germany well-represented
HHL reached 47th place of the top 100 MBA programs worldwide, climbing up 17 places. The top ranks in this survey from a Latin American perspective are generally taken by business schools from the U.S. or Spain such as the Instituto de Empresa. This year, the two British business schools LSE and Cambridge are in the lead. Including HHL, a total of four German schools from the exclusive MBA Alliance Germany made it into the EXPANSIÓN ranking.
Excellent reputation for academic education at HHL
Fernando Orozco (see photo above) from Mexico recently accepted a position as International Business Developer at the Comatch consultant market in Berlin. He chose to complete a full-time MBA program at HHL “because of the high degree of entrepreneurialism in its core program and the amount of successful startups that HHL’s alumni have founded.” Orozco’s expectations of new doors to the job market were supported in every way: “The diversity of the HHL student body both from professional backgrounds and ethnicities offer an opportunity to prepare for future challenges in a globalized world.” Looking back, he appreciates most “the constant flow of ideas and points of views shared in, and the Student initiatives where one can enjoy interesting panel discussions of hot trends while also networking with individuals from leading companies.”
MBA means better job choice and a salary increase
A high quality of life combined with moderate costs as well as the lively cultural scene of Leipzig are a deciding factor when candidates choose their study location. However, hard career factors also play a role when opting for an MBA; 90% of HHL’s MBA graduates found a job within three months and increased their salaries by 95% on average. The young multilingual executives are in high demand among German and international companies thanks to their excellent education.
