Students from 37 nations will enroll in an academic program at Germany’s first business school for the 2016 fall term. To enable them to start a career on the German job market in addition to promoting integration, HHL is offering German classes in the next weeks, prior to the programs starting. HHL students will have the opportunity to complete these German classes of various levels on top of their management training starting in September.
German teacher Andreas Hellfayer says, “HHL allows students without pre-existing knowledge to learn the essentials of vocabulary, grammar etc. and to internalize these skills so that they can increase their proficiency later while completing the program.” The teacher also points out the flexibility of the language courses, “Whether it is an internship, breaks or terms abroad – no matter how the students organize their programs at HHL, they can always continue their German classes seamlessly in every term.”
German as a precondition for a career in Germany
It is not without reason that MBA student Oleg Fedoseev from Russia started his German classes prior to his management program. “If you want to understand the German culture and be successful in the German job market you need to speak German. That is why it is important that HHL has high quality German courses. I took almost all possible courses from A1 level to specialized B2+ courses designed for the job application process. Besides the cost, the big advantage is that all language classes take place on the campus of HHL and never overlap with other classes.”
