HHL’s alumni network spreads all over the world. While being in Latin America in order to meet up with representatives from HHL’s long-lasting partner universities and others HHL Dean Prof. Pinkwart and Director of HHL’s International Relations department, Mr Frank Hoffmann took the chance and also got together with alumni and former exchange students from HHL for an informal meeting on-site.
In Santiago de Chile, they met Alejandro (M8), Christian, Tomas (both M13), and Hans (M15) as well as 2 future students of HHL starting in Fall 2017 in the full-time MBA program last week. 2 days later, they spent a very nice evening with alumni from Lima in a traditional Peruvian restaurant and discussed about HHL’s future development and how the alumni network in Latin America can be further strenghtened. HHL is planning to continue its alumni activities in Chile and Peru since the number of students from the region is growing a lot.
For us, these meetings emphasize the internationality of our network and we are pleased to have alumni around the globe who keep the strong relations with their alma mater, as Christian Orellana (M13) underlines with his statement: “After this initial meeting with the Dean in Santiago, we came up with the idea to start with meetings on a regular basis. In this context, we may discuss one topic of interest which can vary but have a close relation to HHL’s focus: entrepreneurship, leadership, international management. We also wanna meet up for dinner and build the network in an informal atmosphere”.
