Sophie Yang, current MBA student, about her first Alumni Chapter Meeting – the perfect chance to mingle and get in touch with “HHL’ers”
HHL alumni meet up on a regular basis. Thereby, the HHL Alumni Chapters offer a great chance to get in touch with fellow alumni and to meet new friends from HHL. Also for students, it is a great chance to get in touch with alumni already during their studies when they do an internship, spend a term abroad, or be simply around and have the chance to join a Chapter Meeting as Sophie Song (M17) did last year in Zurich, Switzerland:
“As my first HHL Alumni Chapter event, the Zurich Chapter Meeting in November 2016 has impressed me by the strong bonding among HHL alumni. The Friday night event was such a pleasure that includes not only presentations from Credit Suisse and HHL management, but a warmly welcoming casual gathering. Feeling more connected as an HHL’ler, I have learned a lot from the attendants, both professionally and personally. It was such a great experience to gain a closer industry insights, to widen personal connections and, most importantly, to make friends. HHL is the common memory for all of us and is what brings us together.”
Jin Li, MBA alumnus, currently Supply Chain Manager at Huawei, about his studies at HHL:
“When I reflect my one and a half year in HHL, and it was also my first time to Germany, I conclude that the experience not only prepared me in an unpredictable way for my business career but also made me familiar with and further go deeper into the German culture, which attracted me and was the main motivation to study here. Finding an exciting position in Huawei in Munich should be the best recognition for my decision to study in HHL. I believe that working in Huawei Germany would be an experience full of challenges and opportunities, as well as the collision and fusion between the Chinese and German cultures to which I have exposed already when I was enrolled in the Full-time MBA program in HHL. It is exciting to know that there is an HHL Alumni Chapter in Munich. It would be attractive to those smart and intelligent people to recall the study experience in HHL and to share work and living knowledge in Munich.”
Full interviews with Jin Li, Sophie Yang and other Chinese members of HHL’s community coming up soon. Stay tuned!
